We tried using IRM but it's blocking preview of files and few other features which is something we would not like to implement because it's too restrictive. We just want to prevent download of files mainly from Onedrive on non-domain joined PC's. We made a change to our security settings to allow the options to "Get a Link" or uncheck "required sign on. This worked great sharing a single file to an external user, but One Drive for Business does not allow folders to be shared to external users unless they create or logon a Microsoft account.
